Hi, I'm the baker behind Shoobies
My passion for baking started at eight years old when my mother gave me my very first mixer. After working for nearly three decades in the medical field alongside completing professional culinary training in baking and pastry arts, I felt God leading me in a brand-new direction.
That step of faith brought me to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and inspired the creation of Shoobies Baking — a faith-based home bakery built on love, craftsmanship, and community.
I believe that baking is about far more than just sweet treats; it's about bringing people together and sharing warmth, joy, and comfort. Every batch we craft — from fluffy cinnamon buns and decadent cookies to custom celebration cakes — is made with high-quality ingredients, classic technique, and deep care.
Shoobies Baking is being built from the ground up, one small step and one recipe at a time. As I take this journey from our home kitchen to local farmers markets, pop-up events, and community gatherings, I am so grateful to bring you along for every part of the story.
